STATEMENT:
Through painting, I seek to use color, texture, and form to create a visually stimulating image. This also provides me with the means to experiment with spontaneity and chance.
My oil paintings take on a life of their own as they progress. I choose not to present overly-complex theories or ideas. I do not believe that a painting needs some form of conceptual justification to back it up. A painting should invoke thought, emotion or memory. I draw inspiration from the world around me and the Masters.
My style is unique and figurative. My palette is often harsh and violent.
